  One of their hidden gems are the onion rings. If you love crispy, light, battered onion rings, this is the place to go. The onions inside are soft and sweet but hold together as you take each bite. I have a hard time finding the battered type anywhere else, (at least any that are as exceptional). Their fries are spectacular as well. Fast food chains can’t compete, although I would say they’re up there with P Terry’s fries. Thin, delicate, crisp, —but fluffy and full on the inside— and with that complex, almost beefy, savory taste. Our food came fast and the portions are good. The cashiers were very helpful. Just another great restaurant within the heavenly plethora of options that are the H-mart cafeteria.

  So we went to pluckers first and there was an hour wait just to be seated. So we drove to the h mart and went to Donkey Mo's. We ordered our food found a seat and got our food in less than 15 minutes. (The line was long and continuous). Let me say those soy garlic wings were yummy. We added extra Donkey sauce on the side and boy did we enjoy every bite. We also ordered the 4 pc legs with sweet and sour. Delicious! If your looking for good fast wings go here.

  This is some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in Austin. The sauce and spice mix on the wings was like a party in my mouth that kept me smiling from ear to ear. We also got sides of sweet potato fries and shishito peppers. The fries were nice and crisp with a light seasoning. They were good to use to sop up the extra sauce from the wings. The peppers were pretty standard but still good. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

  The BEST Korean fried chicken in the city!!!! We have been Donkey Mo’s HUGE fans and frequent diners since they were located inside Hmart and Lakeline Mall food court. When they closed both locations, our hearts broke. We tried many other Korean fried chicken restaurants in North Central Austin but nothing was up to par, and nothing could replace Donkey Mo’s. Our go-to favorites are the jumbo wings and KJ bites. Jumbo wings definitely live up to their name. The portion is always generous at affordable price. The chicken is seasoned, fried to perfection before tossed into a sauce that will knock your socks off! With the sticky sauce covered the pieces, the chicken remains crispy. What sets Donkey Mo’s apart is the coating of the chicken! It’s very light and crumbly, not oily and thick, so you won’t feel heavy like you eat other fried food. This is what makes Donkey Mo’s so unique! The chicken pairs very well with their pickled radish. You can get a complimentary small pickled radish for every chicken order or purchase a large container. Sauces: sweet and spicy and soy garlic are our favorites!!! Please don’t make me pick one because they’re my children! I rotate my sauce choice every visit. Sweet and spicy has a little kick of heat, very mild. Soy garlic is savory and garlicky - you will have garlic breath for a little bit but it’s worth it. They also have homemade sweet and sour sauce which is also delicious - this would be great if you don’t like the garlicky taste from soy garlic and don’t like to deal with anything spicy at all (even very mild). If you love very spicy, try Holy Donkey sauce. There are also other yummy side dishes like chicken dumplings, fries, sweet potato fries, shishito peppers, brussel sprouts, onion rings, etc. My favorites are sweet potato fries, brussel sprouts, and onion rings. Sweet potato fries are thinly sliced and very crispy. Brussel sprouts is crispy on the outside and tender inside. Onion rings are equally delicious. Everything here is just delicious, guys, you won’t go wrong with any option. The restaurant is clean and has great atmosphere. There’s a private parking lot, we’ve never had any issue with finding a parking spot during their peak hours. Staff is very friendly. The owners, Charlie and Brian, are super nice and have genuine care for their customers. This is such a great place for a casual date or get together with family and friends over a delicious meal. They also have another restaurant serving delicious, nutritious, and healthy bulgogi bowls on Parmer (in the same shopping center with Hana World Market), so I highly recommend you checking it out. Thank you, Donkey Mo’s, for being open again and for making our tummies and hearts happy every single time!

  I stopped by because the name sounded funny and dang that was a good idea. The place is neat and well cleaned. The staff was friendly and prompt. I came in at 12:00, with 6 people in front of me and apparently a big online order in the kitchen. The clerk mentioned there may be a delay because of the size of the other orders ahead of me. No problem I have some time. I was out of the door in under 10 minutes with my order and everything was hot and fresh. I got the 12 thigh nuggets, fries and fried pickles because I thought "I'm a big dude, I can eat all that!" I was wrong. The nuggets were bigger than the tenders at most places and had an amazing sweet and spicy sauce with some green onions on top. The "side" of fries were big enough to fill the box the nuggets came in and were fantastic. The fried pickle spears were fantastic. I didn't count how many came in the side but it was around 10. Did I mention that the portions were generous, cause they were. I could have split this with someone else and still been full. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for some good fried chicken. I think I'll try the wings next time.

  As someone who grew up in South Korea, I have high expectations for Korean fried chicken, and Donkey Mo’s didn’t disappoint! I ordered the 12 KJ Thigh Nuggets in Sweet and Spicy, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and coated with just the right amount of sauce that balanced sweetness with a spicy kick. It reminded me of the flavors you’d find at street food stands back home, which made me nostalgic in the best way. I also got the Korean chicken moo (pickled white radish) which was okay. While it was crisp and refreshing, I found it lacking in the tangy vinegar punch that gives it the authentic flavor I’m used to. A little more acidity would make it spot-on for those familiar with the real thing. For the price, Donkey Mo’s offers a generous portion of food, making it a great value. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone craving a taste of Korea, whether you’re familiar with the cuisine or trying it for the first time. It’s worth a visit!

  When Donkey Mo's opened this year, we knew that it was the perfect spot to host one of our events for Austin Asian American Film Festival there! Charlie was great to communicate with to sort out an afterhours badgeholders night hang and we ordered plenty of Chicken thighs, shishito peppers, brussels sprouts, and sweet potato fries from the Catering Menu to feed over 120 people that came and went during the 2 hour period. We also gave everyone a drink ticket to redeem at the register throughout the event for a drink of their choice. Prices are VERY REASONABLE for event/catering and many of our team was shocked when I shared our end total with them :) While the interior is a bit smaller, it was great for encouraging people to cozy up and mingle or move in/out of the space for the friendly and intimate hangout vibe we were going for. They also offered to customize the music and put on whatever we would like on the TV as well.

  I requested 3 trays of wings for our Christmas eve party only a few days beforehand -- fully expecting that I might get turned away being so last minute for a big holiday -- but not only did Charlie with Donkey Mo's take my order, he went out of his way to ensure that we got our order hot and fresh for my very large (wing loving) family! Great communication made the whole process so easy from inquiry to delivery and most importantly, the chicken was so delicious! A variety of addictive, well balanced, sauces were served on the side to keep the chicken nice and crispy -- we received great feedback from everyone in attendance and many questions about where the wings came from. 100% satisfied and definitely will be a repeat customer.

  Every single item was perfectly fried and the food came out fast, hot, and fresh! The sweet potato fries had a delightfully crispy exterior and a soft fluffy interior -perfection. The fried pickles were beautifully battered, crispy, and juicy- everything I've ever wanted in a fried pickle. The wings were cooked perfectly: crispy & tender. With the 10 piece you get 2 flavors so I went with Soy Garlic and Sweet & Spicy. Personally I found the sauces to have disappointingly mild flavor. They just didn't pack the punch I'd hoped for. Still 5 stars bc overall the food was well made and I would absolutely eat here again. Maybe their other sauce flavors will hit🙌

  Get mo Donkey Mo's! We did a DoorDash order and somehow the order got messed up. The point is that Donkey Mo's had not fulfilled the order. The manager, Charlie, came out and met with me immediately and took care of it and was able to get us our food with minimal wait time. The way he handled the entire situation was the epitome of truly great customer service. On top of that, the food is so good! The batter was still crunchy after bringing it home and the chicken was extremely tender! The kimchi bacon fries are very good too! If you haven't tried Donkey Mo's, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

  I work as a registered nurse on a COVID unit at a hospital downtown and last night Donkey Mo's catered us dinner. The food was absolutely delicious! Sweet, savory, and everything in between. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Donkey Mo's for feeding nurses, PCTs, doctors, and other hospital staff members during such a chaotic time.   We've been here twice in the month since it opened - once for dinner with our kids and once for dessert (without our kids). Both times the service was fast, everything was clean, and well-kept and the food was delicious! The chicken nuggets are crispy and well-seasoned. The wings, fries, and onion rings were all on point. And do not miss the churro with ice cream. So. Good. Great price point. Great food. Easy choice.
